Kenny Gair

Kenny has been active within the Scottish music and theatre scene for over 30 years. His career

in music started at the tender age of 16, playing the pubs and clubs throughout central Scotland. He moved into theatre in his early 20s and studied singing in both Glasgow and London. Theatrical credits include productions of Evita, The Yeoman Of The Guard, The Fiddler On The Roof, Showboat, Singing In The Rain and the world premier of Steven Langston’s Wallace.

Playing both guitar and bass, Kenny kept up an active interest and involvement in bands and more recently enjoyed tours with award-winning blues songstress Katie Bradley and New York musician Eric Hill. Recent recording credits include Kenny Anderson (King Creosote), Richard Young, John Coletta and Katie Bradley. Over the last few years, Kenny has been particularly active within the UK blues scene, most notably with Cynthia Gentle and the Truetones, The Blue Aces and the Simon Kennedy Band.

The highlight for Kenny has been, of course, working alongside the Humpff Family. “I have been a fan of the band since I first became aware of them back in the early 90’s. Delighted and excited to be part of this fantastic family of musicians”. His vocals and bass playing have become an integral part of the band and we look forward to a long happy relationship!
